I'm 21, married, and an artist by trade. I'm not very good at writing really, but I do love to.
I hope you enjoy some of my random babbling X3

I don't write on the computer, at first anyway. I prefer to write on paper with the wonderful feel of ink scratching against it. Sometimes I'll write on an old Underwood Typewriter, but I find ink and paper the most inspiring.
This is why it takes me a while to post stories and chapters sometimes - I rarely have the motivation to transfer my scribblings to proper, readable, typed format.

If you happen to go looking for any of my work on other sites, it's best to look under the name L.I. Black. To put it in the words of C. Astrid Weber, "Pen names are masks that allow us to unmask ourselves."
I've also got a habit of listing 'Freya Black' or 'Waffels Muncy' as my co-authors...these happen to be two of my cats and the ones that sit by my feet/in my lap while I'm writing.

Also you can find my artwork here on sheezy under the name MNightshade or StudioAbsynthe over at dA.

Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia. ~E.L. Doctorow

The pages are still blank, but there is a miraculous feeling of the words being there, written in invisible ink and clamoring to become visible. ~Vladimir Nabakov

The story I am writing exists, written in absolutely perfect fashion, some place, in the air. All I must do is find it, and copy it. ~Jules Renard

Being an author is like being in charge of your own personal insane asylum. ~Graycie Harmon

The only cure for writer's block is insomnia. ~Merit Antares

Some of you (though I seriously doubt it) may have noticed that the story ' Paper Boxes' has been deleted. This is because I'm in the midst of re-writing it.
Throw-Aways is still my first priority, but I have found I need frequent breaks from it in order to keep the story interesting. During those breaks I'll be working on the "Paper Boxes" to keep inspiration flowing.
I dare say that going back over that particular story and some of the others made me want to gag. They were quite horrid in retrospect. I do hope that the re-write is much better.
